Taryn Ogston

Taryn’s love for dance began at the age of 3 when her grandmother, Angela, the owner of YDA, enrolled her in classes. By 5, she was already competing and being recognized within the dance community with awards and scholarships. Throughout her journey as a competitive dancer, Taryn has honed her skills across a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acro, hip hop, and tap, training under industry professionals.

In addition to her dance achievements, Taryn has frequently been featured in dance catalogs and was selected to perform her solo on Tiny Talent Time. Her interest in fashion has also sparked a desire to pursue a future in fashion marketing, a path she’s excited to explore further. Taryn’s strong academic performance in business studies demonstrates her drive and determination to succeed both in the studio and beyond.

As a beloved teaching assistant and summer camp staff member for the past 4 years, Taryn is passionate about sharing her love of dance with younger students at YDA. She is currently enrolled in the teacher training program at YDA, and has already achieved her Intermediate Ballet Certificate through Cecchetti Canada. Taryn is now working towards her Advanced 1 Level Certificate, continually growing as both a dancer and educator. With her focus on balancing academics, dance, and her growing interest in the fashion world, Taryn is shaping a bright future both on and off the stage.
