At York Dance Academy, we do our best to ensure each and every child is individually placed into a class that is best for him or her. With highly qualified and professional staff, you can be sure they will be getting the best of care no matter the program they participate in.
Class Placement
Recreational classes are available for boys and girls of all ages and levels, in all disciplines. Our extensive class schedule allows for classes that suit all your needs. We are happy to offer beginner classes at every age … it’s never too late to start, and you know you’ll be learning comfortably with other students your age range and level. In fact, all of our core classes are offered at different levels within each age range. This ensures that all students are placed in a class that suits both their age and ability. Students are assessed regularly to ensure they are placed in classes that are best suited for them.
Annual Recital
Students are given the opportunity to perform twice in our professional shows at year end with fabulous costumes, lights, music and make-up. These dance spectaculars are one of the highlights of our Recreational Program each year with beautiful costumes and professional lighting which gives students and audience members alike that “little taste of Broadway”.
Our Commitment
The focus of the classes in our Recreational Program is on coordination and rhythm, all while teaching life skills that will remain with students in their future endeavors; social interaction, confidence, discipline and creativity. Personal attention is guaranteed in our recreational classes to ensure students are meeting their full potential. York Dance Academy is proud to provide quality dance instruction not only for our Competitive Program, but also for our dancers who choose to dance at the recreational level.
