Hello Dance Families,
We have made the difficult decision to close the studios for the two weeks following the March Break week.
This is in support of the preventative measures being taken to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to help protect the most vulnerable in our community.
Our health care system is already stressed and there is a huge concern that people coming back from vacations out of the country will bring this virus into our studio and affect our dance families.
This decision is based on facts presented by our government and front line health care workers who are encouraging that we limit contact for the safety of our community. No amount of cleaning and wiping down of surfaces can keep this virus from spreading. Social distancing is the only thing that has been proven to help reduce the impact of this virus and the only way it works is if everyone participates.
We will hopefully be back in the studio as of Monday, April 6th however this will all depend on how successful the social distancing measures are.
We will up-date you prior to the 6th with our decision to open or continue to remain closed. After that we will resume the hours posted below.
We will be extending our season by 2 weeks following the dance recitals to make-up for the closure. Although I realize this isn’t the most ideal solution it will provide dancers with an opportunity to experience other disciplines and to continue with their dance training until the end of June. We are hopeful that recitals will still run and will do our best to ensure dancers are well-prepared and feel confident for the year end shows.
These are very difficult times and it is important that we all work together to ensure our children have some sort of normality in their lives. It is vital not only for our survival but also for our continued good health, that the steps we take to cope with coronavirus are balanced between protecting ourselves and living meaningful, fruitful lives.
Thank you and keep healthy, wash your hands and drink lots of water.
