🌟 Faculty Feature: Miss Gina Kim 🌟 At Yor 🌟 Faculty Feature: Miss Gina Kim 🌟 At York Dance Academy, we’re proud of our fantastic faculty! Miss Gina Kim, a world-class educator whose passion and professionalism make her a true gift to our dance community. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Gina began her dance journey at age six in Niagara Falls, training in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, national dance, and Korean traditional folk dance. Her dedication earned her top honors in advanced exams across C.D.T.A., Cecchetti, RAD, and I.S.T.D. disciplines. 🎓 Gina holds a BFA Honours in Dance from York University, a Teaching Diploma from Canada’s National Ballet School, and Associate status with Cecchetti Canada, RAD, I.S.T.D., and C.D.T.A. She’s also a certified adjudicator with I.A.D.A., bringing over a decade of competitive experience and a global perspective to her teaching. Her performance credits include productions with Quinte Ballet School, The National Ballet School, and musicals like Grease, Chicago, and West Side Story. 🎭 Faculty Feature: Kaitlind Gorman 🎭 At Y 🎭 Faculty Feature: Kaitlind Gorman 🎭 At York Dance Academy, we believe great teachers shape great dancers—and Kaitlind Gorman is a shining example of that philosophy in action. Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, Kaitlind’s dance journey began with training in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics, and Hip Hop. Her passion led her to an arts high school in Ottawa, where she earned a Fine Arts Certificate in Ballet and Modern. She continued her studies at George Brown College’s Performance Preparation Program, where she was honored with the Faculty Award for Excellence, a testament to her dedication and artistry. Today, Kaitlind performs with Breakaway Entertainment, High Society Cabaret, and Interactive Entertainment, bringing her vibrant stage presence and technical precision to audiences across Toronto. 💫 Kaitlind’s classes are more than just dance, they’re a celebration of movement, discipline and joy.
