Veronica Laxamana

Veronica (Vee) started her passion for dance at the age of 6. She was not unfamiliar to the stage as she was quickly introduced to performing in various TV shows & media events, as well as being granted a dance scholarship with Ballet Philippines. In the Company, she was offered one of the leading roles in their Nutcracker Production as Clara. Vee continued her dance training with the National Ballet School at the age of 12. Her love for the arts brought her to pursue a major in Theatre and Arts Management from the University of Toronto. Since then, Vee has performed all around Ontario and accomplished numerous projects as a Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer & Producer. She was a dance member of Dance Collective II, a Contemporary troupe (1997-99); Dancer for Black Magic, an urban hip hop troupe (2002); Director and Dance Captain for Tennis Canada’s Racquettes Squad (2003 & 2006); Dancer/Choreographer for Niagara Fallsview and Casino Rama “International Artists” concerts (2003-2007); Jazz/Hip Hop/Ballet Instructor for Bravo! Centre for the Arts, Richmond Hill (2005-2010); Dancer/Choreographer/Hip Hop & Street Jazz Instructor/Exec Team for VYbE (2002-2007, 2015); & Artistic Co-Producer for You-Nique Dance Collective (2003-present). One of her memorable experiences as a performer was working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as
activities & entertainment staff a few years ago. She also got a chance to teach beginner Latin & Country line dance to guests on-board. She currently teaches and conducts workshops for elementary/high schools/dance studios in York Region. Vee hopes to continue teaching, inspiring and sharing the joy of movement and dance with children of all ages!
