Kimberly has always had a passion and excitement for the world of dance. She started dancing at a young age in Newmarket Ontario at York Dance Academy. Focussing on Ballet and Acro. She completed her Ceccetti Ballet examinations and competed in Ballet, Acro, Lyrical and Jazz for many years before furthering her training and education. Kimberly attended George Brown College and graduated with her performing arts diploma in 2005. She then carried on her ballet training at Quinte Ballet School of Canada and won various ballet scholarships with the Ceccetti community. Deciding she wanted a more exciting challenge in the professional world, she then started her career as a professional dancer with Carnival Cruise Lines. She traveled the world, performing in several shows daily and working with an array of choreographers. Over the past 11 years, Kimberly has taught dance at YDA alongside working on cruise ships and enjoys the challenge and gratification of passing her knowledge onto others. Recently retiring from dancing professionally, Kimberly is excited to re-join the YDA teaching team and looks forward to working with the students this year.
