Holly Bunjevcevic has always been a “busy” girl and while early gymnastics offered a fun place to run and tumble…all she wanted to do was dance.
Holly attended York Dance Academy’s Munchkin Movement at the age of three and has never looked back. When she was eight, she joined the Competitive Team where she developed lifelong friendships while sharing in the beautiful world of dance. During this time she worked to complete eight Ceccheti exams and prior to graduating from YDA, obtained her Advanced Level 1; qualifying her to teach young children who share her passion for dance. Holly also took advantage of the opportunities offered to her to expand her knowledge and experience by taking part in numerous workshops and looked forward to participating in the local production of The Nutcracker. She performed at Disney and helped to make a Bride and Groom’s Day even more special with a live performance of “Thriller!”
Her growth and commitment to character brought her numerous awards and notably a Scholarship for a week long Intensive Dance week in New York City, where she had the opportunity to meet and learn from The Rockettes and various Broadway performers.
Holly chose to further her dance training by enrolling in the Arts Program at Huron Height’s Secondary School. While attending Huron she developed her choreography skills and worked with a variety of students who also shared a passion for dance. In her graduating year she was President of the Dance Council where she lead numerous school and town activities, such as the “Arts Huron” float for the Santa Claus Parade. She was thrilled to be awarded the Dance Award upon Graduation.
Holly was accepted to both Ryerson and York University to explore dance in a post secondary institution. While attending Ryerson she learned a great deal about herself and the dance world in Toronto.
