YDA’s Competitive Performance Dance Team provides enthusiastic and talented youth with an opportunity to study dance more intensely and perform before live audiences in both a competitive and noncompetitive environment. Performance opportunities are provided through attending competitions, community and charity events. In addition the dancers also perform in their own Gala Performance and the studios year end recreational dance recitals.

Students enrolled in the program attend multiple classes in various disciplines including Ballet, Jazz, Stretch & Strengthen which are mandatory and depending on the student additional classes in Modern, Bollywood, Acro, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theater and Hip Hop are also studied.

The program is designed to improve technique, self discipline, poise and build self-confidence in young dancers; all qualities which are beneficial to a child’s development.

Dancer’s and their families also build lasting friendships through this program as students spend multiple hours in the studio together throughout the year.
